Profile
I'm a Research Associate in Space Physics at Imperial College London currently working on solar wind plasma physics and turbulence using data from NASA's Parker Solar Probe and ESA's Solar Orbiter missions. I previously did research at University College London working with Robert Wicks and Chris Owen on solar wind turbulence using data from NASA's Wind spacecraft.

My work focuses on understanding the fundamental plasma physics processes occurring in the solar wind, particularly at kinetic scales where wave-particle interactions become important. I use both in situ spacecraft measurements and theoretical plasma physics to study phenomena like magnetic switchbacks, turbulence, and plasma heating. I'm especially interested in how energy is transferred between electromagnetic fields and particles in collisionless plasmas through wave-particle interactions.

I'm currently investigating the origin and evolution of magnetic switchbacks - large deflections in the magnetic field observed by Parker Solar Probe in the inner heliosphere. My recent work has shown that these structures contain enhanced proton temperatures and appear to be generated near the Sun, potentially through magnetic reconnection processes. I also study solar wind turbulence and how it evolves with distance from the Sun using coordinated measurements between multiple spacecraft.
